About TsukasaJames
TsukasaJames is a Japanese brand crafting handmade leather guitar straps for rock and metal musicians.

These straps are not made as decoration. They are made to support the instrument, the sound, and the conviction of the person who carries them.

I was once a composer. Now, instead of creating sound directly, I create the structure (the strap) that supports it.

Why do I make these? As a teenager, I was carried through my youth by HR/HM artists. Their music, their way of living, supported me back then.

Rather than repaying them indirectly through my own music, I wondered if there was a more direct way to give back. I came to believe that supporting both the physical instrument and the conviction it takes to stand on stage — through a strap — had real meaning. That's how strap-making began.

About the Brand Name
The name TsukasaJames carries my own background and philosophy.

"Tsukasa" is my own name, and in Japanese it conveys the idea of governing structure. "James" is a name that symbolizes the spirit of metal that has supported me. As a brand emerging from Japan, I also associate this name with the image of Tokyo's "T" and Japan's "J."

Taken as a whole, the name expresses the idea of supporting through both structure and spirit.

Handmade
Each strap is handcrafted one by one from cow leather. Every detail is intentional.

What matters is not only appearance, but also balance, durability, how it fits the body, and whether it can be trusted and used on stage with confidence.

About the Names
Each strap carries a name drawn from Japan's samurai, its arms and armor, its history, its traditions, and its ways of thinking. Like armor, each strap is built to be worn into battle — the stage.
