How to choose your tsukasajames strap length

Strap length is a matter of taste, and taste changes with the season and the moment. Set the guitar high, and you play more technical. Let it hang low, and you play wilder. Length alone can change the impression of the guitar, and of the player standing with it, dramatically. And the strap itself is part of what sets you apart.

Start with how you actually play. Put the guitar on the way you hold it on stage, standing up, and notice where it sits naturally. That position, not a number on a chart, is your starting point.

Then match that position to a range, not a single fixed length. A tsukasajames strap adjusts within its range, so your position should sit in the middle of the range, with room to move either way. The three standard ranges are 46 to 53 inches, 48 to 55 inches, and 51 to 57 inches. A shorter range holds the guitar higher, a longer range lets it hang lower. If your position falls near the top or bottom edge of a range, choose the next range, or a custom length.

Here is the trap to watch for. A player can set a strap to its shortest setting and still want the guitar higher. The lesson is simple: your best position should sit in the middle of the adjustment range, not at its edge. When the middle of the range matches your position, you keep room to go a little higher or a little lower whenever you need it.

If none of the three standard ranges puts your position comfortably in the middle, a custom length is accepted. Length, hardware, and colors can be customized. Timing for a custom order is not fixed, it depends on material availability, and the schedule is confirmed before payment.

You take care over your guitar and your outfit, and you pay for both. But when it comes to the strap, most players settle for the colour and whether it is long enough. A tsukasajames strap is the last piece that completes your charisma. Come and try one on.
