Episode 12: We Decided to Form a Band
September of my second year of high school — the school's culture festival was coming up.
Around that time, a friend from my music circle brought up an idea: let's form a band.
I ended up joining as a guitarist.
The friend who'd taught me guitar decided he felt embarrassed playing it, for some reason, so he joined on bass instead.
That left us with two guitarists, plus a keyboard player, rounding out the band.
It's not like everyone in the band was even into metal — everyone was into a different genre. The band only existed to play the culture festival.
The band name was "Gasoketsu" (Empty Tank)... I have absolutely no memory of how we landed on that.

The song choices were all over the place too. If I remember right: LUNA SEA's "BELIEVE," UNICORN's "Maybe Blue" (with me on vocals, for some reason), LOUDNESS's "SLAUGHTER HOUSE"... I can't remember what else. In the end, everyone just played whatever song they wanted to.
For now, there was nothing to do but practice...
To be continued.
