Ukiyo-e samurai skull wearing a braided leather guitar strap, holding an electric guitar

Why does a tsukasajames strap cost $320 and up?

When you walk on stage, the guitar is not the only thing people see. The strap is the last piece that completes how you look up there. A tsukasajames strap is made for that moment, for a player of hard rock and heavy metal who wants to look like the player he already is.

That is why it is not priced like a strap you buy off a rack.

Each strap is made to order in Japan, one at a time, by one maker. It is not mass produced, and it is not sitting in a warehouse waiting for an order. When you order, your strap is made for you.

The build is three layers, with a suede lining and about 14 meters of hand braided leather lace. The point of that build is not the number itself. It is how the strap sits, holds, and looks on stage, show after show.

Shipping is included in the price. Import duties and VAT are paid by the buyer, so please check the cost in your country before you order. We say that plainly because a surprise at the border helps no one.

Delivery is 2 to 4 weeks, because the strap is made to order. Custom lengths, hardware, and colors are accepted, and the schedule is confirmed before payment. Standard sizes can be returned unused within 14 days for any reason, with return shipping covered by us. Custom length or hardware orders are non-returnable, and defects are fully refunded including return shipping.
